ANTIOCH, CALIFORNIA (October 15, 2022) – A woman has tragically died in an Antioch hit-and-run car accident by the intersection of Contra Loma Boulevard and Buchanan Road.

Contra Costa County officials are saying that the accident took place around 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday. A woman was walking when she was hit by a speeding driver that fled the scene of the collision.

Neighbors saw a woman down in the roadway and called the police. Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene in order to help the victim.

Sadly, the woman died due to her injuries. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
