Bicycle rider Died In Los Banos Collision By The Intersection of Henry Miller Avenue and Johnson Road
LOS BANOS, CALIFORNIA (October 30, 2022) – A female bicyclist has tragically died in a Los Banos car accident not far from the intersection of Henry Miller Avenue and Johnson Road.
Los Banos police officials are saying that the accident took place around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday. A 19-year-old woman was riding a bicycle when she was rear-ended by a Nissan Maxima traveling 55 mph.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. Sadly, the bicyclist died as a result of the crash.
A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.

Pursuant to California Vehicle Code 21703, the driver of any vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than would be reasonable or safe given the prevailing conditions of the roadway. If a driver rear-ends another vehicle in their own lane, this could form the basis of a negligence claim.
