Liability In San Diego County Pedestrian Accidents

San Diego County has an unfortunately high occurrence of pedestrian accidents every year. According to San Diego city officials, “On average, 1,000 pedestrians and bicyclists are hit and seriously injured each year in San Diego. Pedestrian collisions increased 20% in 2012 and fatalities almost doubled – these numbers have not decreased.” There are a number of factors that could increase the likelihood of pedestrian collisions.

If a driver fails to reduce their speed and hits a pedestrian in a crosswalk, this could form the basis of a negligence claim.
