54-Year-Old Inmate Died Following Medical Emergency At George Bailey Detention Facility In Otay Mesa
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (August 27, 2022) – A 54-year-old inmate died after a medical emergency at the George Bailey Detention Facility in Otay Mesa.
San Diego County officials are saying that the incident began around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deputies were performing a security check when they found an inmate in the middle of a medical emergency.
Paramedics began life-saving measures, but those efforts were not enough to save the inmate. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
