Liability In Sonora Head-On Collisions
Head-on collisions are among the most dangerous types of collisions that a person can be involved in. They account for only around 2% of all collisions but over 11% of all traffic fatalities. Many of these collisions are caused by drivers that cross over double yellow lines. Pursuant to California Vehicle Code 21460, the driver of any vehicle shall not cross a pair of double yellow lines except in a very limited set of situations. Victims of head-on collisions tend to suffer very serious and costly injuries including:
- Broken bones
- Head injuries
- Lacerations
- Spinal cord injuries
Any person that is injured due to the negligence of another driver may be able to seek aid through a bodily injury claim. Damages can help cover lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. Many victims may not realize the full extent of their injuries for some time after a collision. This is why it is so important that all medical records are properly documented. A car accident attorney can examine all of the unique facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
