Two People Died, 11 Injured In Goodyear After Pickup Truck Crashed Into Group of Bicyclists Along Cotton Lane Bridge over MC85
PHOENIX, ARIZONA (February 26, 2023) – Two people were killed and 11 people were injured in a Goodyear collision after a pickup truck hit multiple bicyclists by Cotton Lane Bridge over MC85.
Maricopa County officials are saying that the collision took place on Saturday morning. The driver of a pickup truck crashed into a group of bicyclists.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help all of the victims. Sadly, two people died due to their injuries. Another 11 bicyclists were injured in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault, 18 counts of endangerment and two counts of causing serious injury or death due to a moving violation.
A full investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
