Bicycle Rider Died In San Clemente Hit-And-Run Collision By The Intersection of Avenida La Pata near Avenida Pico
SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA (July 29, 2022) – A bicyclist has tragically died in a San Clemente hit-and-run car accident near the intersection of Avenida La Pata near Avenida Pico.
Orange County police officials are saying that the collision took place around 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday. A 40-year-old man was driving an electric bicycle when he was hit by a car.
That driver fled the scene of the collision and is being sought by police. The bicyclist was critically injured in the roadway.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
