LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (May 23, 2022) – Three construction workers were injured after a steel scaffold suddenly collapsed at the Port of Long Beach.

Los Angeles County officials are saying that the accident took place around 2:10 p.m. on Friday. Three construction workers were injured when a steel-frame scaffold partially collapsed.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the Port of Long Beach in order to help all of the workers. Two of the construction workers were treated at the scene.

One of the workers was critically injured after he was hit by a steel beam. A full investigation into the scaffold collapse at the Port of Long Beach remains ongoing at this time.
