GAVIOTA, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2022) – At least one person was injured in Gaviota after two semi-trucks collided on Highway 101 near Mariposa Reina.

Santa Barbara County officials are saying that the collision took place around 10:56 a.m. on Monday. Two semi-trucks collided under uncertain conditions.

One of the semi-trucks appears to have been hauling logs at the time of the collision. Paramedics were called to the scene and treated one person with injuries.

One lane of the highway was blocked for several hours as police conducted an investigation.
