Gilberto Payan (Full Name: Gilberto Cazares Payan) Died In Pomona Hit-And-Run Car Accident Near Taco Stand
POMONA, CALIFORNIA (October 19, 2022) – Gilberto Payan died and 12 others were injured in a Pomona hit-and-run car accident at a popular taco stand.
Los Angeles County officials are saying that the accident took place on Friday. Gilberto Payan was visiting a taco stand to pick up dinner for his family.
A driver went through the stand’s pop-up tent and hit multiple people. Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident in order to help all of the victims.
Sadly, Gilberto Payan died as a result of the collision. He is survived by his four children. Twelve other people were injured in the crash.
A 26-year-old woman fled the scene on foot, but she later turned herself in. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
