Anthony Campo, of Wasco, Injured, Two People Killed In Buttonwillow Semi-Truck Accident On Highway 46 East of Lost Hills
LOST HILLS, CALIFORNIA (October 7, 2022) – A truck driver identified as Anthony Campo was injured in a Buttonwillow truck accident on Highway 46.
Kern County officials are saying that the accident took place early Wednesday. A 32-year-old truck driver crossed the center lane of Highway 46 and collided head-on with a Freightliner driven by Anthony Campo.
The out-of-control truck kept traveling east before colliding with a 2003 Toyota on the north shoulder. Eventually the truck overturned and landed on top of the passenger car.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help all of the victims. Anthony Campo was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital in order to receive treatment.
Sadly, both people in the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. A full investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
