Downey Police Officer Injured In Head-On Car Accident By The Intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and Columbia Way
DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA (March 15, 2023) – A Downey police officer was injured in a head-on car accident near the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and Columbia Way.
Downey officials are saying that the collision took place around 1:45 a.m. on Monday. The officer’s SUV was struck head-on by a civilian sedan.
Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help all of the victims. Both the officer and the driver of the sedan were taken to the hospital.
A full investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
