Aislyn Tejeda (Full Name: Aislyn Kamila Tejeda), of Bakersfield, Died In Shafter Car Accident Along Shafter Avenue
SHAFTER, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2022) – A 1-year-old child from Bakersfield identified as Aislyn Tejeda died in a Shafter car accident along Shafter Avenue.
Kern County officials are saying that the collision took place around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Aislyn Tejeda was a passenger in a 2017 Jeep Cherokee that was struck by a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The force of the impact sent the jeep into two power poles before it came to rest on its side. Despite life-saving measures Aislyn Tejeda died as a result of her injuries.
Police said that the driver of the Dodge Ram went through a stop sign prior to the collision. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
