Mikela Lang Died In Moreno Valley Motorcycle Accident With Drunk Driver By Filaree Avenue and Perris Avenue
MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (July 29, 2022) – A motorcyclist identified as Mikela Lang died in a hit-and-run car accident with a drunk driver by Filaree Avenue and Perris Avenue.
Riverside County officials are saying that the accident took place around 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Mikela Lang was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when he was hit by a vehicle that failed to stop at a red light.
The vehicle collided with the motorcycle and ejected the rider into the roadway. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim.
Despite life-saving measures, Mikela Lang died due to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle that ran the red light fled the scene and was later captured by police.
They were arrested and charged with DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
